Many years ago, long before the world was ripped asunder by the great Cataclysm, the Human race was a prosperous and powerful nation. With nothing to fear, the powerful Human kingdom would explore the unknown world. On one fateful day the Human expansion into the Mount Zaron region came across an unknown sentient race. These sentient beings called themselves Orcs.

The Orcs were initially very cautious of the Humans, but eventually through necessity they began trading with them. The Humans, noticing the naïve and less knowledgeable nature of the Orcs, took advantage of the Orcs by demanding more for their goods and paying less for what they were offered. Some of the Orcish clans realized what the Humans were doing and demanded better payment for their goods. Being greedy in nature, the Humans responded to the Orcs demands by threatening them. Short afterwords a war broke out, but it was never proven that it was a result from this dispute. The war rapidly escalated and spread across the world dividing the other races of Talgania. Fearing the loss of their trade routes, or even assault by the Humans some of these races allied with the Humans forming the Legion Army.

The Humans are a very resilient race. Like a phoenix rising from its ashes, the Humans banded together to rebuild their empire to a size larger than ever before. Although they suffered greatly during the cataclysm they survived. The only royal line of the old kings that was left was Mathen Lordon, cousin of the late king before the great cataclysm. Manthen begun the Lordon reign with a focus on rebuilding the core foundations of their civilization. The new kingdom rapidly grew and with Manthens leadership the old problems of the past appeared to be staying that way. However, the greed of the Humans could not be suppressed forever. With the kingdom spreading too fast corruption again began to seep into some of the outer reaches
.

Before the Cataclysm the Orcs were a peaceful and nomadic race. Due to their nature the Orcs never built kingdoms or expanded to grow their nation, instead they lived in small settlements spread across their lands. It was at one of these settlements in the quiet woodlands on Mount Zaron that contact with the Human race first occurred.

Initially the Orcs did not interact directly with the Humans, but watched this unknown race with caution. The Orcs, curious about the technology the Humans possessed, eventually invited the Humans into their midst. Trade was agreed upon by the two races and it was not long before it became widespread among the Orcish clans. As more clans joined the trading the Humans took advantage of the increase in demand and greatly raised their prices. This outraged the Orcs and they demanded more in return for what they were offering. The tension between the two races grew and before anyone knew what was going on, war had started. The Orc armies were being devastated by the power of the Humans and they were soon forced to ally with some of the other races that had not allied with the Humans.

After the great cataclysm the Orc nation was divided up once again. Numerous groups without leaders roamed the broken lands and formed new clans. Small squabbles over land broke out between the Orcs. With this came great struggle for control within the new clans. With Gramush dead and the Sword of Souls lost forever in the abyss their icon of leadership and power was seemingly lost forever. After a few painfully long months an Orc named Zugbar started his rise to power. With much struggle he was able to reunite the three largest remaining clans under a new flag. With the clans united the rebirth of the great Orc nation could occur once again. Zugbar settled the newly founded Orc nation in the section of land called Maron, building his city in the forest next to a portal in hopes to use it to unite other clans. Proven extremely adaptable throughout the ages and having been reduced to but a fraction of their old power, the Orcs started to rebuild their capital. Luckily for the Orcs, they breed fast and as such, were able to repopulate quite quickly. However, this soon resulted in overpopulation and they have started to deplete all the resources on their island. Desperate to find more resources, the Orcs have launched many attacks through the new portals against their ancient enemies.

No one knows how the war started, but we all remember how it ended. For hundreds of years the war raged with no clear winners. The Orcish hordes combined with the might of the Kryss fought the alliance of Humans, Dwarves and the two Elvish families. If one side gained advantage in battle the other would always rally and fight back with even more strength. The stalemate would have held for an eternity if it hadn’t been for the sword.

The Orc leader Gramush summoned his twelve most powerful shamans and the leaders of the twelve orc bands. The shamans combined their power to seal the souls of the orc leaders into a sword forged from mithril. After the ritual Gramush used the sword to slay the shamans who created it and soaked it in their blood for 12 days. When the sword emerged from the blood of its creators it radiated a red glow that cast terror on those who would oppose its master. Thus Gramush created the Sword of Souls. With sword in hand Gramush became a terror on the battlefield. Foe after foe fell before the blade and its master. The Orcish horde advanced slowly towards the heart of the Human alliance. Gramush seemed unstoppable.

With defeat in sight and no way to stop the might of Gramush and his minions six human wizards began studying tomes of forbidden magic. They found a spell on a scroll whose origin was a mystery. The spell required the sacrifice of innocent immortal blood and promised destruction of cataclysmic proportions. All attempts to kill Gramush had met with failure and he could not be separated from the sword, yet the wizards were hesitant to attempt to use the spell. The wording of the scroll was difficult to interpret. The Wizards believed that innocent immortal blood must be an elvish child but which child could be considered? What exactly did destruction of cataclysmic proportions mean? For days these thoughts haunted the wizards but time was running short. With the Orc horde 10 days away from the Human capital of Armondon they knew that they had to act.

A war council was called. Alexander the Human king, Eloir from the Wood Elf family, Tania from the Night Elf family, and Ironbeard of the Dwarves gathered and spoke with the wizards of the scroll. The Humans and Dwarves believed that it was time to act and saw the scroll as their only option. The Elves however were more hesitant. They favored a retreat into the deepest woods were they believed they would be able to turn Gramush back. One wizard, Zarast, took the Human king aside and told him his beliefs that the innocent immortal blood the spell needed, should come from the eldest line of immortals for the spell to be most effective. There was only one child in the royal line of the elves. Tania’s daughter, Ariella. For seven more days the war council met and argued about what they should do. On the morning of the eight day with the Orc horde within sight of Armondon, Alexander convinced the Wood Elf Eloir that the spell would have to be cast. Tania however was not convinced. She suspected that her daughter would be used for the sacrifice and she could not bear to lose her. Tania pleaded with Alexander and Eloir to change their minds. When her pleading failed she became violent and attacked Alexander.

Her attack was so sudden that Alexander would surely have fallen if not for Eloir's interference. His hands moved so swiftly that none in the room saw him draw the arrow and fire until it was stuck in Tania’s back. A cry of outrage emerged from her lips and with her last words she cursed Eloir for his treachery. Tania’s companions, including her lover and the father of her child, Toman, recovered from their shock and attacked their former allies. The night elves fought ferociously but were outnumbered 3-1 and eventually all but Toman were slain. Toman, knowing he would be defeated, made his way to the window and facing Eloir swore a blood feud between the Wood and Night Elves for the murder of his lover, if any of them should survive the season. Toman jumped from the tower and disappeared from sight. Alexander knew that time was precious so he took a troop of soldiers to the Night Elf quarters to get Ariella. Alexander’s men slew the Night Elf guards and took Ariella to the wizards. The girl did not make a sound. The wizards began to prepare the spell that would be their salvation. Gramush and his army stormed the castle and it was clear that they could not be held for long.

The spell was near completion as Alexander clashed with Gramush on the field of battle. Alexander was the greatest of the Human warriors but even his might could not stand up to the Sword of Souls. Just before the Orc king could land the killing blow the sky went black. Time appeared to stop. Gramush held the red sword above his head with Alexander on the ground before him eyes wide open with fear. Ironbeard and the Taron King Krel were snarling at each other frozen in time. Eternity passed before a white light appeared from the top of the wizards tower. With the light came a scream of the night elf girl Ariella. Time started moving again and the light on top of the tower exploded. Gramush never got a chance to kill Alexander because the light consumed all. All living creatures within 10 leagues of Armondon were no more. The Sword of Souls fell to the ground its master gone. There was silence for only a moment and then the earth began to shake.

A great fissure appeared under the wizards tower and it grew, consuming Armondor. Within moments the great city was no more and still the fissure grew. Where the city once stood there was only space with a red sword floating in nothingness. If there was any one who could see the sword at that exact moment when the Wizards tower fell into the fissure, they would see a faint blue light enter the sword and the light would sing the song of the damned. The fissure spread and it grew. In all directions the fissure travelled and it divided the land until it reached the ocean. The water flowed from the ocean into the fissure and the land moved further and further apart. For thirty days the earth shook. The once great continent now reduced to islands moved farther and farther apart. The land moved for an entire year before it came to a rest. Where the once great city of Armondor stood there was only ocean. Somewhere deep under water the soul sword waited.

Magic barriers prevented contact between the islands. Hundreds of years later mysterious portals began to appear on the islands connecting them once more. Who created these portals and for what purpose is unknown. Old allies reunited and enemies began to wage war once more. Two opposing factions were formed, The Legion and The Outcasts. A new battle ground for control of resources and land was spawned. Also opening up new adventures as undiscovered creatures and races has evolved from years of isolation waiting to be discovered.

The time line is divided into different times of events that happened in the world.

It starts with the cataclysm when the land was divided into many different islands. That happened around 600 years ago from present time. As the world unravels and more of its history gets revealed more will be added to the time line.
